Carbide is one of the hardest materials in the world and also very resistant to wear. Soldering the hard metal core to the steel frame is the ideal way to improve a winter tyre’s grip on ice.
The studs used for heavy transport have to withstand extremely high stresses. Tikka Spikes has developed a separate collection of larger and heavier tyre studs for heavy transport that withstand wear and tear. The studs can also be treated with a chemical coating, providing even more durability.
