Rauli Koivula joined the Tikka Spikes production team in 2016 and transferred to the dispatch team in 2017. During his time at Tikka Spikes, Koivula appreciated the friendly work community at Tikka Spikes and liked how you always got help when you ask for it and how things were developed together. Tikka Spikes provided excellent opportunities for developing his skills.
Tomi Pirttimäki is already a fourth-generation member of the Tikka family. His great-grandfather Aleksi Pirttimäki worked shifts at the Tikkakoski plant in the 1920s. His grandfather Toivo Pirttimäki in turn was a technician who designed weapons and sewing machines that were in production from the 1940s to the 1980s. His father Simo Pirttimäki worked at Tikka from 1980 to 2015, first as a foreman and eventually as CEO. Tomi Pirttimäki began working summers at the plant in the early 2000s and currently works as a product development engineer. Tikka Spikes has traditionally been a sought-after workplace where employees have enjoyed long careers.
Aki Kuitunen headed the five-person maintenance team at Tikka Spikes. He first joined Tikka Spikes as a summer worker in 2008. After completing his engineering studies, he worked in the maintenance team leader position from 2015 onwards. In Kuitunen’s opinion, the best thing about the work was getting to learn something new and develop as a professional. In the future, Kuitunen plans to study business in order to improve his opportunities to transfer to even more responsible positions. Kuitunen recommends the metal industry as a workplace because of its diversity.
